County Titles were won by Niamh Ryan in the U13 600m, Emma Doyle in the U15 High Jump and Cora Doyle in the Junior Ladies 1500m – well done to all three of you.
In the Girls U13 events Niamh Ryan claimed 1st place in the 600m after she had led the race all the way finishing with a comfortable lead. Niamh also finished 2nd in Long Jump recording 3.79 and 2nd in High Jump recording 1.15.
In the Boys U13 Sean Burke finished 2nd in High Jump recording 1.25 and also reached the sprint final finishing 4th. Jack Hickey was 3rd in 800m and also made the final of the 60m sprint finishing 5th.
Roisin Daly finished 3rd in the girls U14 60m H and also reached the 60m final.
Emma Doyle was 3rd in the U15 800m and after a tight and tough competition she claimed joint 1st in the U15 High Jump recording 1.30.
Katie Tobin finished 3rd in the U16 800m.
In the Boys U16 events Aidan Ryan was 3rd in the 800m after a fantastic final 60m sprint. Mark Ryan was 3rd in the 60m H and 3rd in Shot with a throw of 6.04. Eoin Troy was 3rd in High Jump recording 1.40.
Emily Walsh was 2nd in the U16 Shot with a throw of 7.0.
Cora Doyle was 1st in the Junior Ladies 1500m after putting in a fine performance; she also finished 3rd in 400m and 3rd in shot recording 5.12.
We had 4 Relay teams competing on the day with our Junior Ladies team of Mairead Blake, Emily Walsh, Cora Doyle & Katie Tobin the only medal winners claiming Silver.
Other athletes to perform admirably on the day were Nathan Bowe, Niall Moore, Ben Ryan, Jack Moore, Harry Hogan, Dermot Leahy, Eamonn Troy, Laura Daly, Grace Moore, Erica Carroll, Orlaith Maher, Eva Henehan and Sarah Jane McCormack – well done to all.
