The Special Olympic Ireland Games will be held in Dublin in June and the athletic finals will take place in the Morton Stadium in Santry where one of our own club members, Aisling Maher, will be competing. Aisling is a member of the Ormond Special Olympics Club and to help defray the huge cost of attending these games Saturday 27th January has been earmarked as a fundraising day. The club are making their facilities available for a Walk/Jog a Mile and Coffee Morning in aid of the eight members of the Ormond Special Olympics Club who have qualified for the 2018 games. The event takes place from 11am to 1pm. Why not come along on the day and support these athletes, have a cup of tea or coffee or buy some cakes and buns. All monetary donations and support would be very much appreciated.
