Cross Country Training
Training for the forthcoming cross-country season has commenced for all juvenile athletes from 7 years of age. Training takes place on Tuesday and Friday nights at 7.30pm. We hope to see all athletes back in action. New members are always welcome. The first cross country fixture of the season is the County Primary Schools Cross Country on Thursday September 26 with the first Championship taking place on Sunday October 6. Our novice athletes will also be in action on the same day so all our men and ladies should also be getting back into action.
Lotto
Congratulations to Maria Ryan who was the winner of €20 in the Lucky Dip. Many thanks to everyone who has and continues to support the club by being members of the lotto. This is very much appreciated.
5k Run/Walk
The club helped in organising a 5k Run/Walk for the local Defibrillator Group. The parish has five defibrillators and there is ongoing expense in relation to their upkeep. Many thanks to all the club members and athletes who turned out in support of the event. Well done to Liam Kelly and Louise Fogarty the individual winners. If any member of the club still wishes to contribute to the fundraiser, please give your donation to John Flynn.
Transfer
The club wishes the best of luck to Dylan McLoughlin who has opted to continue his training and running with Kilkenny City Harriers. Dylan’s transfer was ratified at the recent Tipperary Athletics Board meeting.
