Beaufort, Co Kerry was the venue on Sunday last for the Juvenile Even Age Munster Cross Country Championships. 16 of our athletes competed at the event amidst glorious sunshine with two of our athletes winning Individual Munster medals and qualifying on the Team to represent Munster in the National Cross Country Finals at Tattersalls’s, Rathoath, Co Meath on Sunday Nov. 25th . They were Niamh Ryan who finished 10th and Rachel Butler 11th in the Girls U12 2000m – well done girls on a putting in a fine performance and good luck to you both in the National Finals. Our first athlete to compete on Sunday last was Cathy Hogan in the U10 race, Cathy had a great run finishing 38th. Next up was the Girls U12 where Niamh Ryan was 10th, Rachel Butler 11th, Ellen Moore 64th & Laura Daly 93rd. In the Boys U12 Jack Hickey was 31st, Patrick Campion 66th, Sean Burke 69th & Brian Maher 74th. In the Girls U14 Roisin Daly was 23rd and Emma Doyle 47th. Boys U14 Jack Moore 56th, Bill Hogan 57th and Niall Moore 58th. Boys U16 Harry Hogan 56th. Girls U18 Cora Doye 19th. No County or Club results are available but will be published next week or can be found on the Website. Well done to all athletes on putting in great performances on the day and also a huge thank you to Club Trainers Paddy, John, Eibhlis and Eileen for their support and assistance at the event.
