Moyne Mini Marathon
The 9th Mini Marathon will take place on Monday the 4th of Monday. This annual road race attracts athletes from all over the country and we hope that this year will be no different. The 10k race will be held over the now very familiar Killoran route, with a 5k option for families and walkers. This race has seen fast times and heated battles over the years and last year we saw Sharon Cleere impressively win the ladies event with Kevin Maunsell winning the men’s event and setting a new track record of 31:49. While the Mini Marathon offers a competitive aspect, the Mini Marathon is also an ideal opportunity to challenge yourself and enjoy running on a local route with friends and family. Registration will start at 10 am. Registration costs €15 and prize money will be awarded to the first three male and female athletes home. For further details on this event please contact John on (086)8403515.
