Our annual mini marathon takes place on Monday 1st June commencing at 12 noon. This year we are holding a 10k and 5k run/walk with both events getting underway simultaneously. Premier Timing Systems will chip time all entrants and the first three men and ladies in both the 10k and 5k runs will receive prizes as follows – 1st €50, 2nd €30, 3rd €20. There will also be a special prize of €50 if the course records in the 10k event are broken. Entry fee is €15 and entries will be taken on the day. Your continued support for our event is much appreciated. All proceeds from this year’s event will be going to offset the huge cost of our track upgrade.

The club has organised sponsorship cards and we appeal to all athletes, particularly our senior athletes, to take a card and raise much needed funds for our track redevelopment. These cards are available from the club house. We also need all members of the club to be behind this event and give their time to the many various jobs such as Stewards, Parking Attendants, Catering Staff, Entry Personnel etc. that are required to successfully run the 5k and 10k. Names can be given at training.
