Thurles was the venue on Sunday last for these events and once again we had a large number of athletes taking part which saw us field 12 relay teams over the various age groups and 9 of our Senior athletes participated in the Masters Cross Country Event.  Our Relay teams secured 4 sets of medals in total – 1 Gold which was won by our Girls U14, 2 sets of silver by the U12 Girls & U12 Boys and 1 Bronze by the U16 Mixed Team.
The first event of the day was the Juvenile Relays which kicked off with the girls U10 – Louise Hickey, Emma Gleeson, Helen Cleere and Aoife Dwyer finished 6th and Cathy Hogan, Aisling Hickey, Rachel Moore & Rachel Cleary were 7th.
Boys U10 – Philip Hayes, Armand Schoeman, David Doyle & Jake Bowe were 9th and William Maher, Blake Walsh, Aaron McNamara & Danny Moore were 14th.
U12 Girls – Niamh Ryan, Rachel Butler, Ciara Maher & Ellen Moore were 2nd, Lorna Hayes, Aisling Dwyer, Laura Daly & Emma Kelly were 8th.
Boys U12 – Sean Burke, Jack Hickey, Charlie Tobin & Ciaran Lloyd were 2nd, Brian Gleeson, Patrick Campion, Brian Maher & JJ Schoeman were 9th.
Girls U14 – Emma Doyle, Sarah Jane McCormack, Roisin Daly & Aoife Maher were 1st.
Boys U14 – Jack Moore, Bill Hogan, Ben Ryan & Niall Moore were 6th
Mixed U16 – Orla Healy, Katie Tobin, Aidan Ryan & Eoin Troy were 3rd, Orlaith Maher, Emily Walsh, Eoin Gorman & Eamonn Troy were 4th.   Well done to all our Juvenile & their trainers.
Our Senior Ladies were next up over a 3km course – Frances Long was 4th overall in 14.44 & finished 3rd in the O/40 category, Breda McNamara was 5th in 15.31 & was 1st in the O/35 category, Rosie Cleere  7th in 15.55, Catherine Dunne  8th in 16.26, Liz Power 9th in 16.33 & 3rd in the O/45 category & Eileen Ryan was 11th in 18.10 & 1st in the O/55 category – well done ladies.
Our Senior Men were next to face the start line with Richie Daly leading them home in 17th place with a time of 29.15, next was Damien McDonnell in 34th in 31.44 and Ray Power 40th in 34.26 – well done guys.
