County U/13 to U/19 Track & Field Championships were held in Templemore Track on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May in very wet and windy conditions. Well done to all our athletes who participated and brought home a total of 24 medals; 7 County, 7 Silver & 10 Bronze. 5 of our athletes won 7 County medals with Jack Hickey & Niamh Ryan winning two Gold medals each and both in the 800m & 1500m races, other individual County Medal winners were Roisin Daly in the Long Jump, Eoin Troy in the Triple Jump & Eamon Troy in the 200m. Very well done to you all on such great performances. The full results over the two days are as follows; In the Girls U12 Aine Duggan finished 12th in the Turbo Javelin. In the Boys U12 Armand Schoeman finished 3rd in both the 60m Hurdles & High Jump. In the Girls U13 Katie Bergin finished 2nd in the Long Jump, 3rd in the 80m & 5th in the High Jump & Shannon Boland finished 9th in the Shot Putt. In the Boys U13 Charlie Tobin finished 3rd in the 600m. In the Girls U14 Niamh Ryan finished 1st in the 800m and the 1500m, 2nd in the High Jump, 4th in the Long Jump and 9th in the Shot Putt, Aoibheann Duggan finished 8th in the Long Jump. In the Boys U14 Jack Hickey finished 1st in the 800m and 1500m, 4th in both the Long Jump and Shot Putt, Patrick Campion finished 3rd in the 80m and 5th in the Long Jump, Sean Burke 3rd in the Discus and 9th in the Long Jump. Girls U15 Roisin Daly finished 1st in the Long Jump, 2nd in both the 80m and 100m and 3rd in the 800m, Erica Carroll finished 3rd in the 1500m. In the Boys U15 Lorcan Troy finished 4th in both the 1500m and the Long Jump. In the Boys U17 Eoin Troy finished 1st in the Triple Jump, 2nd in both the 3000m and the High Jump and 3rd in the Javelin and Eamon Troy finished 1st in the 200m and 3rd in the 300m. A Silver Relay medal was won by the Boys U14 team in the 4x100m relay made up of Jack Hickey, Patrick Campion, Sean Burke & Charlie Tobin, well done guys and well done to all our athletes who participated so admirably over the weekend.
