County Tipperary Cross Country

45 of our Juvenile Athletes and 7 of our senior’s travelled to Clonmel on Sunday last for the County Tipperary Juvenile Even Age & Novice Cross Country Championships bringing home a total of 3 individual medals and 5 sets of team medals overall. 
Our individual medal winners were – Girls U10 Cathy Hogan 10^th , Girls U12 Niamh Ryan 2^nd and Boys U12 Jack Hickey 3^rd – well done to you all. 
First off were the Girls U10 –  Cathy Hogan was 1^st home for the Club in 10^th, Rachel Cleary 15^th, Emma Gleeson 17^th, Aisling Hickey 20^th, Aoife Dwyer 28^th and Lucy Kavanagh 30^th. 
In the Boys U10 Philip Hayes was 16^th, Brian Gleeson 37^th, Blake Power 40^th, Adam Butler 42^nd, Aaron McNamara 47^th , Conor Flynn 48^th  & William Maher 49^th. 
In the Girls U12 Niamh Ryan finished 2^nd, Rachel Butler 6^th, Ellen Moore 8^th, Ciara Maher 10^th, Emily Kavanagh 16^th, Laura Daly 23^rd, Aisling Dwyer 29^th & Grace Moore 34^th – this team took silver medals finishing only 1 point short of Gold.
In the Boys U12 Jack Hickey was 3^rd, Ciaran Lloyd 13^th, Patrick Campion 15^th, Brain Maher 16^th, Sean Burke 19^th, Charlie Tobin 21^st, Dylan McLoughlin 22^nd & James McDonnell 42^nd – this team also took silver medals.
In the Girls U14 Roisin Daly finished 4^th, Erica Carroll 7^th and unfortunately Emma Doyle was unable to complete the race due to illness.
In the Boys U14 Jack Moore was 10^th, Bill Hogan 15^th, Niall Moore 17^th and Nathan Bowe 21^st  – this team took bronze medals.
Next up were the Girls U16 –  Orla Healy finished 4^th, Katie Tobin 7^th & Emily Walsh 8^th  securing silver team medals.
In the Boys U16 Aidan Ryan was 10^th, Harry Hogan 11^th, Mark Ryan 12^th, Eoin Troy 13^th & Eamonn Troy 14^th – this team took bronze medals.
In the Girls U18 Cora Doyle was 5^th & Mairead Blake 6^th.
Well done to all our Juvenile athletes especially those who were competing in the Cross Country stage for the first time.
Next to face the start line was the Novice Ladies who had 3000km course to run – Breda McNamara led home the Moyne Ladies finishing 14^th in 14.16 closely followed by Aisling Maher in 15^th recording a time of 14.25 and Liz Power was 23^rd in 15.40.
Our Novice Men were up next running a 6000km course and they were led home by Richie Daly in 29^th place with a time of 24.21, Damian McDonnell was 42^nd in 27.04, Ray Power 43^rd in 27.20 and Thomas Moore 45^th in 27.31.
Well done to all athletes who took part and a big thank you also to our trainers and of course the parents for their continued support.
