County Relays
On Sunday the club attended the County Relay Championships in Thurles Crokes. The weather was kind again and ground conditions were excellent We had 11 teams on the day and we were rewarded with good success, more importantly though, a lot of fun was had by the athletes. Each athlete had one circuit to complete and there were plenty of pace on! Our U10 girls were once again up there leading the way and won convincingly. We also had success with our Senior team with a huge anchor leg form Dylan McLaughlin who closed down the Crokes man to take the W in the closing stages. Our girls U14 put in an excellent shift and they came home in 2nd place along with our U16 mixed relay team! All in all it was an enjoyable day and credit to all the athletes who ran their best! Munster Even Age Cross Country Championships – Cooraclare, Co. Clare
We are very much looking forward to hitting the roads and off to the Banner County on Sunday 22nd of October for the first day of the provincial championships! We have a small but mighty group heading down and we wish them the very best of luck! We have the County Champions U10 team and earlier mentioned, Annie, Lily, Aoibheann and Meadhbh who will leave it out there on the course! We also have siblings, Tom and Meave O Shea in the U10 and U12 race respectively. Jack Renehan looks forward to the 3000m in the the U14 and twins Emma and Kate will be well up in contention in the U16 competition and not to forget their mum, Edel, she will be competing in the novice division! We hope there will be plenty of support on the day, safe travelling to all!

Training
Training continues weekly and we encourage all to continue with their schedules and link in with coaches regularly. Indoor season is not far on the horizon to those who are eyeing up the track season.
