County U9 to U12 Indoor Championships
The County U9 to U12 Indoor Championships took place on Saturday 10th March in Nenagh AC Indoor Stadium with 43 athletes from the club competing. The club brought home 8 individual medals – 1 gold, 5 silver, 2 bronze and 3 team medals for the relays.
The gold medal winner was Eleanor Doyle in the girls U10 60m Silver Race. Silver medals were won by Olive Spillane-Leane in the girls U9 300m, Blaithnaid Lloyd in the girls U12 High Jump, Billy Gleeson in the boys U10 300m, Seán Boland in the U 11 60m Silver Race and Adam Spillane-Leane in the boys U12 High Jump. Bronze medals went to Jack Guilfoyle in the boys U9 60m Gold Race and to Daniel Tobin in the boys U11 60m Silver Race.
Moyne AC had 2 girls’ U9 relay teams bringing home silver and bronze for the club. Silver Medal winners were Maria Doyle, Ciara Joyce, Niamh Gleeson & Olive Spillane-Leane. Bronze medallists were Molly Jones, Ruth Hickey, Ailish Concagh & Ciara O’Dwyer. The boys U 12 team of Adam Spillane-Leane, Liam Ryan, John Delaney & Jack Flanagan also brought home bronze medals coming third in their race.
Also competing on the day were Ailis Concagh, Kate Concagh, Daithi Cussen, Ruth Phelan, Reiltín Morrissey, Ava Tobin, Kate Tobin, Aoibhin O’Dwyer, Sarah McGinley, Isabella Jones, Emma Delaney, Maebh Leahy, Dearbhla Gleeson, Alana Spillane, Denis Brolan, Bill Cussen, Darragh Hickey, Jack Reddan, Kate Delaney, Cara Delaney, Saoirse Doran, Adam Phelan, Jack Gleeson, Frank Doyle, Fred Power & Paddy Cussen.

County U13 to Junior Indoor Championships
On Sunday 11th March, it was the turn of the U13 to Junior athletes to compete in the County Indoor Championships. There were 16 athletes from the club taking part in the track and field competition.
Both Emma Hickey and Tara Gleeson were competing in the U13 Long Jump where they made throws of 3.21m and 3.14m respectively. Louise Hickey came 3rd in U14 60H in 11.84, 4th in the Shot Put, 4th in the Long Jump, 5th in 60m and 5th in the 800m. Also in the U14 category was Tara Gleeson who came 7th in the Long Jump and threw 6.16m in the Shot Put. Emma Gleeson came 1st in the Girls U16 High Jump and 4th in the 800m. The U14 Girls relay team members were Louise Hickey, Tara Gleeson, Emma Hickey and Clodagh Gleeson who finished 5th. Both Katie Bergin and Shannon Boland were competing in the Junior Women category. Katie came 2nd in the 400m in 1.03.48 and 5th in both the 60m in 8.86 and Long Jump. Unfortunately, Shannon was unable to finish the 400m.
In the U13 Boys competition, Cathal Guilfoyle ran in the 60m coming 7th. Aaron Meakin competed in the U13 60m and Long Jump, Jake Bowe and Aaron Moore ran in the U14 800m with Aaron finishing 3rd overall. Also U14 was Conor Gleeson who finished 5th in the 60m while Aaron McLaughlin came 2nd in the 1km walk. The U14 relay team finished 2nd and they were Jake Bowe, Aaron Moore, Conor Gleeson and Aaron McLaughlin. Aidan Meakin finished 3rd in the U16 Long Jump and 4th in the 60m. Dylan McLaughlin and Jack Hickey were our Junior Men representatives. Dylan took part in the 1500m where he finished 2nd in 4.42.64. Jack finished 3rd in both the 400m in 56.06 and the Shot Put throwing 8.11m. He also finished 4th in 60m in 7.72.
These are wonderful results from Nenagh and all athletes who competed should be extremely proud of themselves as all their hard training is paying off
