The club made its first visit to Galbally on Sunday last for the County Intermediate Road Championships and came away with one set of team medals. 

Six ladies took part in the 4k event for Ladies and they were led home by Bridget Gleeson who finished very strongly for 7th place in 17.13.  Just yards behind was Lorraine Healy who finished in 8th place in 17.19.  Next home for the club was Patricia Ryan in 15th in 18.19 and these three ladies combined to finish third in the team competition behind Thurles and Moreabbey Milers.  Leah McCormack was our next finisher in 17th in 18.43 followed by Catherine Dunne 24th in 20.46 and Liz Power 25th in 20.49.  These three ladies finished sixth in the team competition.  Well done to all the ladies.

 The club also had a mens team in action with all four having very positive runs over the 8k course which tested the mettle of all involved.  Paddy Doyle in 18th was first home in 32.08 with Patrick Bowe 29th in 33.35 followed by Ray Power in 33rd in 36.03 and Mark King 38th in 41.44.  In the team competition the club finished 8th overall.  Well done to all.
