What a day Sunday turned out to be for our ladies who captured the County Intermediate Team Championship, the first time since the formation of the AAI.  Such was the closeness of the competition that just one point separated the top two teams with the club coming out on top ahead of Clonmel, Moreabbey Milers and Dundrum.  Lorraine Healy had a fantastic run to finish 4th overall in a time of 20.34 and had the excellent back-up of Angela Fogarty and Katie Harrison who finished 7th and 8th respectively in times of 20.47 and 21.06 to hold off the challenge of the other clubs to secure the title.  Bridget Gleeson, Susan Fogarty, Sharon Cantwell and Liz Power also played a vital part in this victory with Bridget finishing 12th in 22.30 followed by Susan in 15th in 23.04 with Sharon 20th in 26.01 and Liz 22nd in 26.37.  Congratulations and well done to each and every one of the on their brilliant performances.

Our men were also out in force with Liam Kelly and Stephen Flanagan mixing it with the best to finish 10th and 12th respectively  in 28.42 and 28.53.  With Paddy Doyle, Patrick Bowe, Thomas Moore and Ray Power also in the mix the team finished 6th overall.  Paddy finished 28th in 31.02, Patrick 36th in 32.24, Thomas 38th in 33.16 and Ray 42nd in 3816.  The men are making great strides in these competitions and success cannot be too far away.
