Munster Juvenile “B” Track & Field Championships

What a way for the club to finish out the Track & Field season with our youngest of athletes securing a number of Munster titles at the Munster Juvenile “B” Track & Field Championships in Templemore on Saturday last.

In the U/9 300mts Annie Ely had a superb victory and followed it up with second place in the Long Jump. Orlaith Costigan also U/9 finished third in the 60mts. What performances from these two young athletes. Brothers Gerard and Daniel Delaney had a great day with Gerard victorious in the U/12 High Jump and finishing second in the Turbo Javelin while Daniel finished third in both the U/10 60mts and Long Jump. Another Munster gold came the way of Sarah McGinley who won the U/15 Shot Putt and also claimed third place in the High Jump with younger sister Ella finishing fourth in the U/12 Shot Put and sixth in the Turbo Javelin while Maria Doyle finished fifth in the U/13 shot.

Other athletes who performed excellently were Eva Maher, Doireann Quinlan, Faye Murphy, Abbie Delaney, Darragh Maher, Zach Ryan and Leo Cullen.

Well done and congratulations to all of the above and to their respective coaches and indeed to all the families involved for their support throughout the season.
