County Novice B Road Championships

This coming Wednesday, 14th July, Templemore host the County Novice “B” Road Championships and the club will be represented by Aisling Maher, Sharon Cantwell, Jody Sweeney, John Renehan, Pakie Bowe and Brian Carroll.  We wish all the athletes the very best of luck.  The ladies race starts at 7.45pm with the men racing at 8.30pm. All athletes are reminded to fill out the Covid Health Form prior to arriving at the venue and follow all the County Board’s Covid regulations.

Munster Track & Field Championships

Days 3 &4 of these championships take place this weekend in MTU, and the following athletes will be competing – Leona Maher U/18 100mts, Aoife Dwyer U/18 100mts, Alanna Spillane U/14 1,500mts and Olive Spillane Leane U/12 60mts and Long Jump.  We wish the girls the very best of luck in their quest for Munster honours.

Coillte 10K

Well done to all our athletes who competed in Dundrum last week at the Coillte 10k – Pakie Bowe (40.53), Sharon Cantwell (41.05), Aisling Maher (44.25), David Russell (50.31), Deirdre Royce (54.57), Catherine Dunne (57.33) and Frances Long (58.24).

Split the Bucket!

The winner of the Split the Bucket for Friday 9th July was Thomas Flynn, Galway.  The option for on-line entry is now available on our website – .  All proceeds are used for the upkeep of our facilities and the training of our athletes.  The draw takes place each Friday night at 8.30pm with several options available – 3 entries for €5, 12 entries for €20 (includes 2 additional free weeks), 28 entries for 50 (includes 3 additional free weeks).  Cut off for on-line is on Thursday evening at 6pm and any entries received after this time will be included in the next week’s draw.  Your support for this venture is very much appreciated.  Envelopes will also be available each Tuesday and Friday night at training and Elaine & Kathleen will be more than happy to help in this regard.

Meet & Train!

Our meet & train sessions continue each Monday & Thursday night at 8pm on the track for our adult members commencing this week.  We are encouraging you to come along and enjoy the company of other club members while you do your session.  Any others interested in joining in this initiative must register with the club for insurance purposes.  Whether you walk, jog, or run, no matter what your ability is, you will be more than welcome at the club.  Contact our registrar Michelle Percy on if you require registration.  All Covid-19 protocols must be adhered to.
