National Uneven Age Juvenile Cross Country Championships
Jack Renehan was our lone club representative at the National Uneven Age Juvenile Championships in Conna, Co. Cork on Sunday. Such a contract in underfoot conditions from Donegal two weeks ago, with the athletes running in very soft and muddy underfoot conditions and long uphill stretches particularly on the final run in to the finish. This demanding course took it toll on athletes but credit to Jack as running in a fast U/13 race, and on his debut at this level of competition, he ran a very solid race to finish 150th and part of the Tipperary U/13 team that finished ninth in the Inter-County competition. Exposure to this level of competition for any athlete is a learning curve and the experience gained by Jack will stand him in future competitions. Well done, Jack.
