Inter-Club Cross Country

 

The annual inter club cross country challenge between Moyglass, Moycarkey-Coolcroo,

Coolquill and Moyne took place on Friday last hosted by Moyglass. There were races for

U6 to U16 with distances of 200m to 2000m. There were wonderful performances

from all the athletes where their determination saw Moyne retain the perpetual trophy

for yet another year. A huge thank must go to everyone who took part and to parents

for travelling. It is much appreciated. Thanks also to the other clubs for the great

competition and to Moyglass AC in providing the venue and refreshments for everyone

afterwards.

Tipperary School Cross County

The Tipperary Primary Schools Cross Country Championships take place on Wednesday the 26th of September in Thurles Crokes AC sport’s grounds. See timetable on Tipperary Website for race order and start times. Good luck to all partaking.

Day One County Juvenile Cross Country Championships

County Tipperary Juvenile Even Age and Novice Cross Country Championships will take place on the 7th of October starting  at 12 noon. The championships will be held in the Turnpike, Two-Mile-Borris. All athletes interested in partaking should inform Geraldine no later than Friday 28th. Scoring Individual medals will be presented to the first 10 across the line at U/10, U/12 and U/14 and to the first 3 across the line at U/16 and U/18. Teams of 4 will score at U/10, U/12 and U/14 and teams of 3 at U/16 and U/18. All information pertaining to the championship is available on the Tipperary website

Day Two ‘Uneven’ County Cross Country Championships,  Moyglass

Day Two (Uneven Ages) of the County Juvenile Cross Country Championships will be held in Moyglass on Sunday 14th of October starting at 12 noon. All entries should be submitted to Ger by 3rd of October.

 

Open Cross Country

St. Senan’s are hosting an open cross-country this Sunday (30th) in Kilmacow, Kilkenny. There will be races for Juvenile, Junior and Senior athletes and further information is provided on the flier below.

The AAI autumn open Cross Country takes place on the 23rd of October and is open to all Senior and Master athletes. The event is open to non-Athletics Ireland members and aims to encourage those that take to the roads every weekend to come along and try a different style of racing on the country.  For further information see the AAI website

There is only more week left to order club tracksuits, t-shirts and crop tops. Order forms can collected in the clubhouse, payment to be made in full no later than the 2nd of October.
