Many thanks to all who supported the club’s Christmas Morning Mile which despite the miserable weather proved to be just as successful as other years. Close on 90 people walked, ran or jogged the mile with the fasted recorded mile on the day that of Liam Kelly who raced around in 5.15. Only a couple of seconds behind was Jack Hickey in 5.22 while Simon Everard finished in 5.35. Ciaran Purcell ran 5.23 with both Diarmuid Fogarty and Louis Everard finishing in 5.47. The fastest lady on the day was Lorraine Healy who ran 6.03 just two seconds ahead of younger sister Orla who clocked 6.05. Deirdre Leane finished in 6.31with Sarah Healy running 6.34 and Ber Spillane Leane 7.07. Over half of those who took part opted for a recorded time on the new track and have set themselves a standard to break next year.
