It is always great to see people walking, jogging and running no matter when or where but the traditional Christmas Morning Charity mile is now firmly established on the calendar and despite the heavy and persistent downpour over 150 people turned out on the day to raise €1,600 for the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation.  The Fogarty Family along with the Club appreciate the efforts people went to in support of the event.  While people opted to walk and jog some came with the intention of bettering their times of previous years and to this end 15 people created new personal bests with many more within a couple of seconds of their best times.  Fastest man on the day was Liam Kelly in 5.06 and fastest lady was Lorraine Healy in 5.45.  Our thanks to Paddy, John, Mark and Eibhlis on the timing and photos and to Eileen, Kathleen and Elaine who  provided a welcome cuppa to all afterwards and also to Naomi for her cakes and treats that went down well with everyone.  Again a sincere thanks to all for your support.
