Week 2 of the Burma Challenge saw all the members walking, jogging and running a mile on the track.  All participants were timed with some great running involved.  8 teams of 5 have been selected and following Thursday’s night event the following is the league table – 1 Longorchard (Philip McBain, Stephen Ryan, Frances Long, Tom Percy, Fiona Kelly) 34.12, 2 Moyneard (Padraig Crone, Lisa Quinlan, Tom McGrath, Ray Power, Toddy Sweeney) 36.01, 3 Moynetemple (Louise Fogarty, Deirdre Royce, Martin Kiely, Ber Spillane, Eamonn Kelly) 36.48, 4 Boulabeha (Angela Fogarty, Mary Langton, Breda McNamara, Edel Leahy, Olga Doyle) 37.43, 5 Moyne (David Russell, David Doyle, Della Hunter, Pauline O’Connell, William Lupton) 37.57, 6 Derryfadda (Nathan Bowe, Susan Fogarty, Sharon Kiely, Eileen Hackett, Imelda Flynn) 39.2, 7 Ballyerk (Richie Daly, Emma Leahy, Liz Power, Catherine Dunne, Mary Healy) 39.37, 8 Rahealty (Liam Kelly, Aisling Maher, Michelle Percy, Sharon Cantwell, Catriona Ryan) 40.19.  This Thursday is the handicap night were the leaders on the first night will be the last to go, with the back markers on that first night the first to go ensuring everyone will be back on the track near enough together.  Timekeepers will have their hands full!!  Everyone is asked to be at the track by 7.30pm at the latest.
