Following on from last year’s successful anniversary games the club is once again promoting a gala night of track and field athletics. The timing has been organised, official starter confirmed, sound and video arranged so things are starting to move for our 2019 Track & Field Games which takes place on July 10 at 6.30pm. Flyers have been making the rounds of the clubs around the Country and features are on our Facebook page and club website with interest in the event growing daily. Our two main headline races will be an attempt on the sub 4-minute mile for the men and sub 2.05-minute 800mts for ladies which were very nearly reached last year. The programme also consists of Senior Ladies & Men 200mts, Junior Ladies & Men 200mts, Senior Ladies & Men 400mts, Master Ladies & Men 400mts, Senior Ladies Mile and Senior Men’s B Mile races with a Junior Long Jump and Senior Men Weight for Distance. Entries have been submitted for some of these races and once the required numbers have been reached, we will unfortunately be unable to accept further entries. As there is no entry on the night we would encourage all those who have expressed an interest in taking part to send on their details to hello@moyneathleticclub.com to include their name, club, event and pb.
