🏃‍♀️ 123.ie National Senior Indoor Championships
📍 NIA, Dublin
🗓️ Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th February 2024.
After a number of weeks of indoor races, the time has come for the National Senior Indoor Championships. Irish athletics is on a high at the moment with National Indoor records falling such as Roisin Flanagans’ 9.04.84 over 2 miles and Rhasidat Adeleke in the 300m in a time of 36.42 at the Millrose Games last week.
The action is sure to be pulsating as 9 of Ireland Olympian’s are due to the start line. They include:
Sarah Lavin (60m & 60H)
Mark English (800m)
Louise Shanahan (800m)
Cillian Greene (400m)
Sophie Becker (400m)
David Kenny (5000m Race Walk)
Brendan Boyce (5000m Race Walk)
Andrew Coscoran (1500m)
Phil Healy (200m)
Among the them will be our own National U23 60m and 200m champion Katie Bergin.
On Saturday Katie will be stepping into the blocks in the 200m heats at 13:25, with a final hopefully at 15:30.
On Sunday Katie will be taking part in the 60m heats at 12:00, with a semi final hopefully following at 14:30 and perhaps a final at 15:40.
Katie has worked so hard to prepare herself for this final with a PB in almost every competition so far this season.
