Club Notes Weekending 24/11/019

National Juvenile Even-Age Cross Country Championships

Just one club athlete, David Doyle, represented the club at the National Juvenile Cross- Country Championships in Dublin on Sunday.  David was a member of the Tipperary U/14 squad and finished 156.  While the Tipperary team won the National title, David did not make the scoring six but nonetheless put in a good performance over a strength sapping course.

North Tipperary Schools Track & Field Competition

Well done to Sarah McGinley who won the shot competition, with a throw of 6.45mts. for the 5th Class category at the North Tipperary Schools Track & Field Competition in Nenagh last week.  Sarah was representing Holycross National School.

“Down Your Way”

Eamonn O’Dwyer of Tipp FM and “Down Your Way” fame will visit the club this coming Saturday night, November 30 at 7.30pm to record a programme about the club.  We extend a hearty welcome to all current members and their families, former members and anyone with an interest in the club to please come along and show your support on the night.  What a great way to remember great sporting days of the club.
